Marc Miller Bio
Good Morning ENC! My name is Marc Miller, aka "Marc in the Morning," and I am thrilled to play the role of your alarm clock every morning - if you want, I'll even make that annoying beeping sound it makes! My career keeps bringing me southward, with previous radio stops in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Jersey; at this rate I’ll be anchoring a morning show in Antarctica by the year 2031.
I grew up in Philadelphia, and I am a proud graduate of one of the newest members of the ACC, the University of Pittsburgh; my wife, also a Pitt Panther, works at Vidant Medical Center, and don't take this the wrong way but we hope you never have to see her!
I have a son named James who is almost 4 years old, and a little man named Wesley who's under 1 year old. They are the coolest kids in the world - you’ll see them running around the V Facebook page, and HERE on our site. I love talking about - and getting your advice on - our daily adventures with the boys, so expect some silly stories mixed in with Carolina's Best Mix every morning!
I can’t wait to hear from you – maybe it’s your birthday, maybe you want to give a shout to your kids’ youth sports team, your family and friends serving our country, or perhaps you just want to say hi from the bus stop. Give me a call, or send me an email! "Marc In The Morning" as much yours as it is mine.
Stuff about me:
1st Radio Job – “Hungover Friday,” WPTS, Pittsburgh – I did a 10am “morning show” for my college radio station, because really, who wakes up earlier than 10 on a Friday morning in college?
Worst non-radio job – Restaurant Dishwasher. 2 things: If your job can also be done by an appliance, it can’t be that fun. And, If you’ve never cleaned a grease-trap in your life, consider it a life well-lived.
Dream Job – writer for Rolling Stone Magazine, or producer for a band that doesn’t suck.
Hobbies – hangin’ with my wife as we watch our boys grow and develop into little men, watching/bragging about my favorite sports teams, napping (with two kids, if I actually got a chance to do this regularly it would be my #1 hobby and the best hobby of all time).
Favorite TV shows – Definitely Psych - Psych is probably the best show you’re not watching right now.
Favorite Movies – Swingers, Field Of Dreams, Backdraft, Goodfellas (not necessarily in that order).
Favorite Sports Teams – all things Philadelphia - Eagles/Phillies/Flyers/Sixers - and everything Pitt Panthers (I’m also hoping to become an honorary Pirate!).
Favorite Season: March Madness. That’s a season, isn’t it?
Heroes – anyone who serves or has served in the United States Military.
What’s Your Favorite food? – Cheesesteak. You ever heard someone say “there are no stupid questions?” If you’ve had a real Philly cheesesteak you know that was a stupid question.
